Yeah, I know.
It's just like those plays at 2b where the 2b bobbles the ball a little bit on the exchange and they started calling guys safe. Come the **** on - that was not why we have replay. Or that play in the Dodgers game where Tejada didn't get his toe on the bag before Utley detonated him. That's not what replay exists for; it's not there to play gotchya.
I was dead-set against replay and I still hate it because you knew this was the likely outcome - ballgames and in fact entire
seasons hang on a ticky tack call like that that just shouldn't matter that much.
I'm resigned to it, but I still don't have to like it.
