I agree, that was my point... this is NOT the game to complain about people "giving up" once the Astros extended their lead, outside of maybe people turning off the game, which would be dumb if you've watched the Royals in the past couple seasons.
The Royals were, by all accounts, done at 6-2... and the worst possible thing happens, with someone who had struck out twice on 6 pitches has to come to bat again because of the bullshit knock-Gore-off-the-bag..... and he singles and walks in that inning.
Baseball is so random.
