Overrated depends on what audience you're talking about. I agree that there are plenty of folks out there who swear every word out of her mouth is striking a blow worldwide for 'the cause.' They're a little hyperbolic.
But she's very accomplished, smart and professional. I was worried for a bit that she was going to descend into one-note, body image, JV Phyllis Diller territory, but she manages to find creative ways to slyly present POV.
I wouldn't put her show above Key and Peele, which is the gold standard in sketch humor right now, but it's close. And some of her sketches outshine everyone.
If you think she's ONLY trying to be shocking, you're not paying enough attention. She does a good job of stepping back from the precipice and being self deprecating.
