Bragg was just too young and they needed bodies.
Last year, what two players did people complain about not getting enough minutes? Unequivocally it was Cliff Alexander (you know, the guy who's in the NBA now) and Michelson. Both lead the team in PER by minute.
It's not in our imagination. Jamari Traylor and Landen Lucas SHOULD be filler minutes fodder. Guys that spell breathers, when we are in foul trouble, getting 5-14 minutes a game. I think this is why we peak in the middle of conference time, whereas many other teams peak at the end of the year because they've trusted their talent.

same for scheme
When you spend all year doing nothing but run the basics, by the end of the year other teams have polished more than just the basics. We came out strong but have a lower ceiling. Other teams may struggle early but end up with more options by the end.
sacrificing upside for consistency is a Bill Self standard
