My condolences. It's a Bitch to deal with while it heals. I'm dealing with a complete fracture of both my tibia and fibula - each at 2 spots! Both broken a few inches below my knee AND both broken just above my ankle. They had to put in a rod the length of the lower leg, 2 plates, and 6 screws. It happened about 4 months ago, and I've only been able to walk on a limited basis for about 6 weeks at the most.
Eventually, they say I will be back to normal without a limp. It still constantly hurts, and my balance and the amount of weight I can put on it is really shakey.
I've done a great job of regaining my full range of motion, but what worries me is in the last month it doesn't seem like I've had much improvement.
They say it usually takes over a year, but I've been diligent on what they recommend for a full and quicker recovery yet it seems to have reached a point where there it hasn't been improving week to week.
So, who knows what the timetable will be once I won't have to hobble around everywhere?
