I understand he is raw, he doesn't know the defense. I see some issues with not playing him besides the downsides of being a poor part of the defense and committing turnovers.
He has the most raw talent on the team. How does he reach his potential if he doesn't play? Your up 14-20 points at home. Why is he not out there learning and improving instead of Traylor and Lucas?
If we want to play with the top 10 teams every year and have a chance at a national championship, we need those best in the country one and done players. If we don't play them until the last 1/2 of season, they are not coming here. You are a top 5 player, would you want to set on the bench? You got Kentucky, Duke etc. that will play you right away. This is a major point of recruiting these top 5 players. I'm sure they are already telling these kids, you go to Kansas, you will set on the bench for most of the season.
