The only regular season conference championship that matters is in the Ivy League.
In all other conferences the conference tournament, just like the NCAA Tournament, is what determines the champion of a league and who gets to advance to play for the national title.
This is why no one outside of KU fans give two shits about "regular season championships".

That doesnt mean it doesnt mean anything. Im always floored that fans, ADs, and talking heads arent appalled that a conference tourney champ gets in vs the actual champion. Like the 68 team tournament, its ridiculous. Its just meant to add excitement for the casual fan. The end.
I mean why dont ppl think its incredibly sad that a 13-18 Holy Cross team is going to be in the postseason NCAA championship tournament? Its ridiculous
