First thing I noticed when he showed up. My guess, he was captured back by Negan and tortured, a la the chick who had her finger cut off for stealing gas. Why he's front and center for Negan's group after deserting them is anyone's guess.

Someone at work here mentioned...brain washing...which would be the epitome of lazy writing.

Can't wait to see how they flesh this whole thing out.
