And yeah, the fact that he doesn't do his own dirty work irks me as well. If you're going to be a dirty shithead, go do it and back yourself up. Keith's not a small guy; he should be able to stand up for himself. Don't stand behind the referee yelling 'wakey wakey, Backes' after one of your guys elbows him into next month and he literally can't stand on his own.
Keith's nothing more than a more talented Jordin Tootoo, IMO. All those guys that think fighting is bad for the game are overlooking the more sinister stuff; that cheap stickwork like the obvious intentional slashes and butt-ends that guys give when they know nobody's looking. Take away fighting and you'll see even more of that shit and it's just awful for the sport.

I agree about the underhanded stick work... I remember Marty Turco in particular getting away with that shit in the calves and behind the knee of defensemen. And what Keith did the other night shouldn't be tolerated... there's just no talking his way out of it.
And I agree with the fighting, there is a reason for it beyond entertainment value.
