Got the year right but wrong series.
That Dale Hunter/Pierre Turgeon incident was in 1993 but it was first round. Ray Ferraro won three consecutive games in that series with OT winners in each.
But then they advanced to face the two time defending champion Penguins without Turgeon but somehow they would win Game 7 in OT on the road in one of the great upsets in playoff history.
Then Montreal beat them in 5 and so began the long drought.
Isles need to be on the other side of the handshaking line for once...
