Man, not a bad deal for the Sox at all. I'm still not convinced that Shields is any more than JGuts type innings eater at this point, but he'll still round out their rotation & provide BP relief for a very reasonable price.
P.S. - S/O to the Padres owner for gutting Shields' value this week and to Preller for demonstrating his typical incompetence.
