I feel they did a good job of relaying it without bogging it down; Jaime has gone to Riverrun to get the castle back, determined to get back to Cersei and Cersei was served a nice slice of humble pie. She is now refusing to leave the Capital, since her last living child is now under the influence of the High Sparrow, even though she is surrounded by people that hate her.

Well, a resurgent North would probably be a bigger threat than Dorne whose army hasn't moved out of Dorne.
I am thinking the Lannisters and Freys meeting is the Freys getting very scared now that the Starks have retaken the North and are allied with the Vale.
