Holy ****ing shit! $226 million in Revenue Sharing does NOT equal $226 million in Net Profit.
The Chiefs earned approximately $5 million on regular season game days (ticket sales, concessions, parking, etc.), 40% which shared with the opposing team. They also earned an untold sum on merchandising, which is not shared with the entire league.
So for example, let's say their Net Income was $255 million. That's before paying rent to the Jackson County Sports Authority, their support staff, coaches, scouts, GM, concession workers, parking lot workers, travel expenses for the players, scouts, coaches and execs and the grounds crew, not to mention equipment, office supplies, utilities and other expenses.
Add in $143 million to the players (which doesn't include the cash outlay for signing, workout and roster bonuses) and you're looking at a Net of far south of $100 million.
