"Experts" are a bunch of turds. I stopped caring what the "experts" said when I found out that I can read baseball news, study the analytics side of the sport, and make my own opinions without the aid of every ESPN analyst and probably 90% of the MLBN analysts. There are some guys I like, Brian Kenny for example. He presents an educated POV on the "new school" side of the game, IMO.
But seeing turds like John Kruk, Curt Schilling (lol), and Harold Reynolds on-air as "experts" makes me laugh. Obviously I am geared toward the analytics side of the game, but if someone can show me a clip of any "old school" expert ever not sounding like a complete fool when debating baseball with someone with even a basic understanding of numbers then I would be surprised at its mere existence.
And I understand baseball isn't just numbers, I am not blind to that. I am just saying that just because a guy is a former player, that doesn't mean he should be an analyst.. or an "expert".
