I started using malt vinegar at LJS years ago. When my kids started Pop Warner football. There is a LJS that is right on the way to all the towns we had to play to the North of us. We made a point of stopping for a late lunch at fast food places that we don't have closer to home. LJS/Wienerschnitzel/Dairy Queen off the top of my head. There is also a factory outlet row of stores next to the LJS, so we'd stop by when we'd go school clothes shopping. LJS became a horrible greasy addiction/family tradition and my wife started making home cooked versions of their menu. Now, years later, I put malt vinegar on anything deep fried, pan fried or food that you might typically fry but didn't-like oven baked 'french fries.' And I do love hush puppies and corn fritters.
