who's the backup tackle? Reid? If so this would be an improvement in that area.

the injury thing is very concerning though. maybe a change of scenery coming back to a place where he was successful at one point, playing w/ bro. i dunno.

if he's healthy sign him. we have the cap. Doubt there are any free agent CB's that are of starting quality just sitting around waiting for jobs. That's an area of 100% top priority obviously - would rather have $ spent in that area if it's going to have a immediate impact on the field. I'm not for wasting money on a #4-5 CB. Hopefully this Acker guy is better than bums like Nelson Cooper and Flemming. And wtf knows about Russell. Will he even play this season? It's important that he's battling for that #2 spot eventually. Looks like he's light yrs away from that right now. This team is in SB win now mode, esp once Houston comes back and is 100%.
