This times 1,000%. Holmes was a good RB who benefited from an offense perfectly tailored to his skills and an OL that is arguably the best ever assembled. Any above average RB would have put up similar numbers to Holmes, and a great RB would have re-written the record books for yards from scrimmage in a way that wouldn't be touched for a long time. I could see a RB of JC's caliber racking up nearly 3,000 yards from scrimmage.
