I will agree that he was forced to have Young as his QB because insane Bud Adams wanted him. However, I will point out that Fisher wanted Cutler drafted and what a winner he turned out to be.
As for the 2008 team, yeah a lot of Pro Bowlers on that team that did jack squat. I've lived in Nashville for the past 13 years and have watched TN go through multiple re-builds.
Fisher lived off one SB run and a fan base that was new to pro football and pro sports overall. He benefited from a fan base that didn't demand much from it's pro teams and seemed to be OK with mediocrity, which basically Jeff Fisher in a nutshell.
