Cap space is relative when it comes to competing for players.
We better sign our players before the hit the market because other teams are going to have more money. I imagine our upcoming FAs have already been told that by their Agents.

Berry's deal in only $5 million in 2017 if he gets extended. Same thing with Honey Badgers first year. Dorsey has done this with several contracts.
Poe's franchise puts us at a little under $20 million total. Not sure what the deal is since we would still have roughly $10 million in space.
Now add the 2018 budget of $31 million. Poe's first year would probably be low if he was signed.
I'm failing to see the issue in keeping both unless Dorsey is too loyal to expendable players that wouldn't restructure.
