Like the dude at the Oscars, my explanation doesn't make it better, but for what it's worth...
I merged the two threads, but KnowMo's post was the first one, so he was retained as the OP. I tried to delete that post so that the next one in line would become the OP, but apparently our hack to keep the first post on every page isn't quite right, and instead of clicking on the button to delete the first post, I ended up clicking on the button to delete the whole thread.
