There are certainly points where you just can't be all in and we have all suffered through plenty of those seasons. But giving up on a season before it starts is a questionable stance at best. I have no interest in watching a Smith-led Chiefs. It's been that way for 4 seasons now, and it's not changing just because we have a clipboard holder.

Does this mean that I do not "care"( inasmuch as a person can actually care about such things )about other players like Berry, Reek, and the rest of the non-QB squad?
No.
It means that I have no use in watching players of this quality lose even MORE of their career time under a useless bag o' dicks like Smith. This is a theme that has been occurring for FAR too long, and prior to Reid OR Smith.
Now, thankfully, there exists a player that has a very great chance of putting that sad legacy to sleep. HE is the reason to be excited, and I can assure you 1000% that the aforementioned players are just as excited, and ready to help him get HIS show on the road asap, regardless of the coachspeak and player politics that you may be reading in your morning Terez columns.
It is what it is, and if Reid and Co. want to let their placeholder finish his term with dignity, be my guest. Just don't expect me to watch that shit, please.
As stated before, I eagerly await my SI Sunday text telling me that Smith has left the field, and Mahomes has rightfully taken his place.
This is my last attempt at making a reasonable post regarding this. I've done so only because you, NJ, are not a complete tool like the usual tools in this thread. These people have made CP a ****ing toilet, and deserve no honest discourse whatsoever.
