Melisandre tells Varys that she has done her part by bringing Fire and Ice together—the same name of the novel series. Fire has to be Dany and Ice has to be Jon. Perhaps they rule together?
You can read some of the last chapters by George Martin, which he's been dallying about finishing online, if you can find them. The TV series may just move ahead of him.
