The Chiefs needed to police this. They should've had a run play to call that put Mitchell out in space and a pulling guard around to wipe out his legs. They can do that themselves; they can make Mitchell pay for this nonsense.
But allowing NFL officials further opportunity to impact gameplay is just a bad idea.
