I've been through the Cassel era. The chiefs will not bench Alex Smith unless there are banners flown or some type of crazy whack scenario like a player drinking antifreeze in the parking lot.
Half of the people in this town still think Alex Smith is an mvp.
If I am wrong and the chiefs decide to bench him, It will be some type of phantom injury to save face.
