I'm with you and I completely understand the spirit of the rule. I just don't enjoy games ending on rules such as this one. Sometimes sports rules do lose the context and spirit of the game. I personally would have enjoyed it if the fumble didn't happen and he was down but Lynch's penalty ended up screwing the Raiders since it still would have been enforced. That would have been hilarious.
