Oh, and we desperately need to free up cap space to invest even more heavily in the defense we are already among the league leaders in investment, because our underperformers on THAT SIDE OF THE BALL are too valuable to let go. And after all, defense is just a that fluky stuff that happens when they're not exhausted and the QB happens not to be on the field.

I know there's one thing Mahomes has that Smith will never, ever have, and that's the ability and the balls to put his team on his back in the clutch when he is needed most.
