Alex Smith was a damn good QB this year but you can clearly see that in crunch time, he gets frantic. If you are going for a game-winning drive, he is just not the guy you'd want to win the game. He is just not the type of QB who will take the team on his shoulders, when for example the defense is not having its best day, and carry it to a win.
That is obviously a major flaw, but all in all, he is certainly an above-average QB at this stage of his career.
He is underrated by many Chiefs fans but one thing is clear, it is possible but very unlikely to win a SB with a QB like him.
