I'm glad they have Mahomes and have finally moved on from Alex Smith. They got lucky and had that work out.

They overpaid to be not terrible at QB. Could have paid less for cheaper placeholders.

People are still going to bitch about that compensation. Yeah, I want to win a Super Bowl too, but get real here. The Chiefs were a god damn laughing stock that made the playoffs 4 times in basically 17 years prior. Having my Sunday's not be a laughable joke for 17 weeks for the last 5 years has been well worth those 2 second round picks that apparently you think are gold.
