I tend to agree with you here. None of us know what REALLY transpired between Reid, Sutton and Peters (and of course, his agent). But I can only speculate that the problems with Peters had boiled over in the locker room - but I do NOT know.
What I HAD noticed with Peters was his play on the field and his lack of hitting, standing around during a play. That's why I have to believe that there is more to this than just "I want to be traded". Reid and Veach MUST have thought that to keep this guy around the locker room wouldn't be worth it.
Damned shame - but they knew about Peters when he was drafted....
