I've gone through the range of emotions on this one. If we don't get a first round pick back - which is seemingly looking less and less likely - I'll be pretty disappointed with this trade. I understood the rush to trade Alex Smith when you found a deal you liked because you were a forced seller. In this case, what was the rush? Was it such an open secret that we NEEDED to trade Peters? And if it were, then seriously, **** him for putting us in this situation and making it obvious to the world he didn't want to be back in KC. I've liked Peters quite a bit but if you watched him on the sidelines during games (and I sat in the first 5 rows behind the bench for 11 games this past season alone), he was beyond combustible. Half the games staring into the stands finding someone to jaw at (even our poor gblowfish drew his ire). It was like no player I've ever seen before up close.
Veach is no idiot so I assume he did what was best with a bad situation. But again, **** Peters for putting us in this position.
