Duke and UNC have 3-4 McDAA guys on their roster at all times year in and year out, and KU would have to compete w/ that, something they don't have to deal w/ very often w/ other Big12 teams. They already compete w/ those schools for recruits on a national scale, but it doesn't effect them in the league because they don't play eachother.

So the 15-16 Duke team that finished 5th in the ACC behind Louisville, Miami, Virginia, and UNC would have won the Big XII? KU, West Virginia, and Oklahoma were comparable to those 4 that finished ahead of Duke that year (oklahoma went to the Final Four).
In 06-07. Duke finished 7th in the ACC and arguably shouldn't have even made the tourney... backed up by their loss to VCU in the 1st round.
No, i don't think Duke would have even come close.
