The Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs reports the Bears will not place the franchise tag on CB Kyle Fuller.
Biggs "can't say for sure if the transition tag will be in play." It is a bit of a reversal from Biggs, who just last week said the franchise tag was an option. Expected to cost nearly $15 million, the tag would have been an overspend on Fuller and made long-term negotiations difficult. Biggs reports both sides would like to work out a deal, but Fuller is expected to at least test the market before he makes his final decision.
