Which would suck about about Matheny.
I think Mo has not been too good lately but he has made some good trades in the past and so far, this off season trades look like wins.
I'm not backing Mo just saying there is a huge anger and frustration gap between him and Matheny. Matheny is already using the same pitchers in every game. Mayers looked good in a relief role this spring. Why not bring him in to see if it translates to the regular season? We have been up 4 runs and looked like we were cruising in the 6th inning in several games and went to the same pitchers.
He gets no credit from me for using a rookie that throws a 100mph two seamer with movement consistently for a strike. Thats about as big of a no-brainer as no-brainers get. He's probably going to overuse the kids talent and **** him up.
Overall, I'd be in favor of going .500 for the year if it got rid of Matheny but I think Dewitt loves him way too much for Matheny to be fired. I think the only way we get rid of Matheny is to have him get caught doing something un-christian. Affair with a porn star. Gay sex in a bathroom etc.
Our only hope is that Matheny doesn't screw up, get in the way of our potential championship window thats opening up next season..
