Mark Teahen was the best hitter, Burgos was the closer and he had something like a 5 ERA. Go back and look at that 2006 team, there were no bright spots. Certainly no one in the same universe as Salvy or Moose or even Duffy or Whit or Herrera.

I know it's early, but the 2006 team whole season stats was:
.271 BA/.332 OBP/.411 SLG/.743 OPS
5.65 ERA/83 ERA+/5.29 FIP/1.602 WHIP
So far in 2018, again, I know its early and it's a small size compared to the whole season from 2006, but it's worth comparing.
.237 BA/.305 OBP/.359 SLG/.664 OPS
5.18 ERA/86 ERA+/4.80 FIP/1.409 WHIP
That's brutal.
