Bourdain studied up on the history and the culture, and really learned about the people and the experience. Hell, he did one segment at a Denny's. I've traveled several places because of Bourdain. The places I haven't traveled to, watch one episode and you feel like you've been there. That's a pretty good reason to watch the guy's show.
