I don’t go to one extreme or the other in preseason. I mean it’s nice to see your starting offense put a nice scoring drive together, your defense get a 3 and out, and your young guys flash, but you still have no idea what you’re going to get in the regular season.
This is a unique situation. You have a WR in an offense that is by all accounts very difficult to learn at that position playing with a young/new QB who he’s trying to get on the same page with. And he could also be dealing with a hip injury that he’s trying not to aggravate.
I’m not saying it isn’t a little bit concerning, but the overreaction is absolutely absurd.
