He could've leaked the Chiefs interest to get teams looking to trade up to 5-6 and get him. That soups up his signing bonus and puts more money immediately in Steinberg's pocket.

Instead he recognized just how perfect the situation in KC was for his guy and kept that information under his hat. Really not something I'd expect out of an agent and pretty damn commendable.
And now not only will the career success of Mahomes most likely pay higher dividends, but if you're a team doing business with Steinberg - how much higher is the trust level and credibility today?
