Trading for Earl Thomas means we would be either giving up draft picks for a one year rental, or planning on signing a safety entering his 30's to another record-setting contract. Neither one of these are good moves.
Its hilarious how people who've waited their entire lives for a franchise QB now want to trade everything away in his first year starting to go "all in." Its really misguided. This isn't basketball, the best team doesn't usually win, there's a ton of randomness in the NFL. You win by building for long term success and by giving yourself as many rolls at the dice as possible.
