True, but those families are probably doing the best they can within the means they have available to them. That's going to be good, but it's not going to be the best that can possibly be provided.
In his interviews, Morse has made it clear that his brother is the bedrock of his life outside of football. Telling him he can walk away and provide his brother a better life than most other 'normies' isn't gonna carry much weight for him when he knows he can just keep playing, maybe eek out another 2-3 years in the league and in so doing essentially open the 'money is not a consideration' path.
Maybe you're right - maybe he'll walk away and decide that he's earned enough; after agency fees, etc... he's at probably $4 million pre-tax. That's obviously more than most will ever earn. But I just get the impression he's not wired that way. If there's a way for him to provide
more at the risk of nothing but his health down the road, I think he'll see that as a risk worth taking.
I could be reading him wrong, but it's just the impression I've gotten from listening to him.
