Hunt was renting a room there...not just an weekend thing. The hotel most definitely doesn't want sensitive surveillance video of its high-profile patrons sold to a tabloid TV. It's their property...and was stolen. Did TMZ get clearance from them to make it public?
Cleveland PD supposedly never had a copy of the hotel footage... as it was a misdemeanor.
The big question is did TMZ make a public request for the police cam footage...and when? The date will be very interesting. The hotel footage and the police footage were obtained from two different sources. If TMZ didn't make a formal request...Hunt can sue the shit out of both of them.

No. He doesn't have a case and he can't win. He has no expectation of privacy in a public hallway. End of story. He got caught along with multiple incidents of abusing other citizens. He needs to be in jail.
