That being said, the Mahomes comparisons are ridiculous. I think his best case is a Matthew Stafford type player, as others have alluded to in this thread. Tall guy, with a big arm and not much mobility.
If he goes to Denver we have nothing to worry about.

It's just such a different analysis for college quarterbacks since so many of them are expected to be like Kyler Murray and truly make plays with their legs. That's not what most teams are looking for at the NFL level. It's a bonus, not a requirement.
I think you're understating his mobility. Lock had offers from Oklahoma and Wichita State to play
basketball as a shooting guard. Now I think Oklahoma's offer was more to try to snipe him for football, if I'm being honest, but Wichita State's program is very good and they were just after him to play basketball.
If he's the stiff you're portraying him as, he's not getting offers from NCAA tournament teams to play hoops.
Don't sleep on his athleticism. He's not 'dual threat' style mobile because that's just not his game, but he's not some lumbering oaf back there either. His feet were an oft-underutilized element of his game and when they were made a bigger part of his arsenal, he tended to play better.
