Incipit is the third-person singular form of the verb,
incipio, incipire, incpei, inceptum, and it means "he, she, it, begins." It it not necessary to add a pronoun unless the verb is gender-specific.
Ea is the feminine first person singular form of the pronoun
is-ea-id (he-she-it/that). A literal translation of
ea incipit is actually "she begins."
I took 2 years of Latin in high school, and 20 hours of Latin in college. How many Latin courses have you taken?
