But/for draft status, he'd have been bagging groceries a long time ago. Had he been able to build on that relatively successful tryout period he had with Seattle in 2017, they'd have almost certainly re-signed him. But they saw the same thing that he'd put on film for his first 4 years in the league (well, 2, considering he was suspended for substance abuse in 15 and then missed the entire season in 16 due to injury and ineffectiveness).
The guy's been in the league for 6 years now and has one 5 game stretch of decent play. He's a 29 year old tryout player at this point in his career.
