Obviously I don’t spend a ton of time here, so my experience is different than a more regular member. That being said, before the thumbs I very rarely gave rep. When I did, it was almost always positive. Now that the thumbs exist, I NEVER give rep. What’s interesting though, is that I give thumbs down more often than thumbs up, the complete opposite of my rep experience.
I tend to thumbs down posts that are so bad/awful that I don’t want them seen by the general public, so I hope other people will hop on board. For example, anytime that GloryDayz guy posts in the science thread, easy thumbs down.
