I blame Braveheart - one of my favorite movies of all time. Ever since then every action movie has to have an EPIC final battle. It's played out and boring imo.

Yeah, when I was a kid it was fun to see car chases and gun battles and fights, but at some point I realized that once you've seen one, you've seen them all. I have no interest in watching movies where car chases or gun battles or fights are the main part of the plot, and unfortunately that knocks out 80 percent of modern movies. When I then kick out movies that are focused on people arguing or dying, that pretty much just leaves comedies, occasional scifi moves with unique plots, and some indie movies that I can go see.
