Look. MCU has done some solid movies, no argument. But to have MCU as the greatest movie franchise of all time over some of the others that have been in this contest is an absolute joke. It makes this place looked reeruned. MCU didn’t change the way people make films, it didn’t create a new genre, it doesn’t really have a true ‘iconic’ character (actor) that will stand the test of time. It will be remembered as a fun set of movies with some really cool special effects. Nothing more, nothing less. But I digress . . . . .
With all that said, comic book nerds rise and enjoy your moment.

Eh, I don't know that that's fair. The MCU has shown that you can construct a series out of a huge number of different storylines and characters. DC is now trying to play catchup, so it clearly has had an influence on the "way people make films." It doesn't have an iconic character, but the overall arc that was just concluded will certainly stand the test of time as iconic. Hell, it's about to have the first BILLION dollar WEEKEND (worldwide) in film. It's having a HUGE influence on the industry right now.
I certainly understand that it's not for everyone, but calling it a "fun set of movies with some really cool special effects" makes it pretty clear you're not really paying much attention.
