The next announcement that comes from 1 Arrowhead Way should be something along the lines of:

Due to public outcries, the Chiefs franchise stands ready to act independently and in advance of the NFL's decision, and that will be a two preseason game suspension for Mr. Hill and mandatory monitored anger management classes, but only when credible charges are files against Mr. Hill by the loony JOCO DA.

That puts the NFL "on the clock" for making a counter decision, and might serve to fire up the idiots who crave a public crucifixion (which is fun to watch).
