What’s the point of all that action but we see 20% of the action, at best? Was it to save money? What’s the official word because fans are ticked off.

How many other battles with the NK happened in the dark? None that I can think of. My guess it was money. To film the same battle in the light would cost a lot more.
The one thing I liked though was the Dothroki's riding into the night lit up and being extinguished. That was kind of cool. Everyone back at Winterfell was Oh ****.
