The defense will be near elite at stopping the run/rushing the passer. The weakness still is coverage. The fact that you're hanging you hat on Ward as a counter argument who has such a small sample size he could end up being a fools gold Marcus Cooper is enough of a flag to tell me that group needs work.

I’m of the opinion that they aren’t done at corner or TE, hence why they kept Clark’s first year cap hit low despite having plenty of space.
Either way, Breeland/Fuller/Ward is still better than what we had at this point last year or going into the season.
And yes, I think Fuller can be a shutdown corner, and that part about the stats “not backing it up” might be true for 2018, but not for 2017. This year he’s going to have better coaching, scheme, and he’s in a contract year. I fully expect something closer to 2017 and maybe even a career year.
