There was a time when reporters, especially local, wouldn't have even IMAGINED writing a story about a players personal life. In the old days, the press and the players were good friends who spent a lot of time hanging out together.
Hell, there were even "Joe Lunch box" fans who lived in the same neighborhoods as some of the players and would have them over for BBQ and beer.
At this point, I don't care if I ever hear about another pro athletes private life for the rest of my own.

I remember Joe Montana talking about playing catch with guys in his neighborhood. Now days you could never do it because it would get posted on twitter and everyone would know where he lives.
